The first time you see the Milky Way appear on your screen, you are hooked, and astrophotography for beginners is more approachable than most people think. Find truly dark skies, set a wide lens to its largest aperture, push your ISO, and expose for around fifteen seconds before the stars start to trail. A sturdy tripod is essential. Dress warm, be patient, and let the quiet vastness overhead do the rest.
